Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed again. The new release date according to Developer CD Projekt Red is 10 December 2020. For years now, the gaming community across the world has been looking forward to the release but now the fans are disappointed.
The CD Projekt Red team took to Twitter to share the news, apologizing to the fans that have been eagerly waiting for the game. Cyberpunk 2077 was originally scheduled for an April 2020 release, which was then postponed to September 17 and then to November 19.
According to the developers
“The biggest challenge for us right now is shipping the game on current-gen, next-gen, and PC at the same time, which requires us to prepare and test nine versions of it,” the company said in a tweet. “We need to make sure everything works well and every version runs smoothly. We’re aware it might seem unrealistic when someone says 21 days can make any difference in such a massive and complex game, but they really do.”
As the game is scheduled to be released on a host of platforms including current generation and next-generation consoles, along with PCs, there are a total of 9 versions that need to be tested.
Gamers across the world rushed to Twitter to convey their disappointment at the news, many fans had ended up taking days off their work to enjoy playing the game from the first day itself.
